Jello Shots

Seattle Weekly, always in pursuit of a Pulitzer, ran a cover story on the popularity of jello shots in low-end bars. this shoot was my contribution. Shooting drunks in bars is not that hard. A few snaps and they will start doing the stupidest things for your camera..

Sunset Tavern Crowd

This was just the best, funnest shoot in a while. I love being a photographer and pushing right to the front of the crowd. I just say excuse me I need to take some pictures! In any case, HalloQueen, the Queen tribute band was awesome and hilarious at the same time.

Prom Date!

This was a cover shoot for Seattle Weekly, and it was very satisfying. The boy in the ball gown is Nicholas Terry, creator of the film Senior Prom. Terry’s film is a mocumentary of his high school prom, made on an $800 budget. Plus, he got his film into Seattle International Film Festival!

Bridges

April 10th, 2010
this is the last bridge on the Burlington Northern's main line before it enters the Cascade tunnel.

My personal work is generally shot on film, and often with an archaic view camera. These images of steel truss bridges were made with a 7×17 inch banquet camera. I printed them with cyanotype chemistry on all-rag watercolor paper.
